The MidiDrive D Servo Drives' package consists of servo amplifiers and servo motors with or without gearboxes, completely with position sensors and, if required, brakes. They are supplemented by software accessories.

The servo motors are permanent-magnet three-phase synchronous motors. The stator carries the 3-phase winding, the rotor is equipped with rare earth magnets at its surface. As the winding is located in the stator, the heat developing there can easily be dissipated via the surface. The standard position sensor of the motor is a two-pole brushless hollow-shaft resolver. For protection against overheating, the motors are equipped with a temperature sensor which is evaluated in the servo amplifier. The connection of motor and position sensor is done via connectors (high powers via terminal box).

MidiDrive D servo amplifiers are compact amplifiers for installation in control cabinets. To avoid radiated emissions, the enclosure is made of zinc-plated sheet steel. Since the enclosure is not varnished, all metal parts have the best electrical contact to each other. The power supply unit is integrated. The power unit is fed directly by the 400 V AC mains. For the control unit, a control supply voltage of 24 V is supplied. The power supply unit contains a RFI filter as well as a shunt regulator. The shunt resistor of this regulator absorbs the energy feed back when the motor is braked. An externally mounted shunt resistor can be connected, as well.
