Description
This Revco ULT-10140 Ultra-Low -140C Cryogenic Storage Freezer is used, and in excellent condition. The compartments, compressor, electronics, and filter conditions indicate that this freezer has seen very little use (see photos). There are some slight cosmetic blemishes (also, see photos) - very small pings and dings from being in storage (this was maintained by a major pharmaceutical company, likely as a stand-by unit). It includes the manual, software, a set of keys, and the inner Styrofoam lid (accessories). Operates on 208-240VAC Single Phase power. Our technician tested unit to -140C, and it performed as expected. It has the optional LN2 Back-Up System installed which will use external LN2 to maintain proper cabinet temperature under power-outage conditions. Integrated Frame Heater (user-controlled) for fast defrost.

Developed for the most critical material storage, Ultima II represents the finest, most enhanced cryogenic freezer anywhere. Each Ultima II freezer includes the Revco IntrLogic microprocessor control system with built-in voltage boost and surge suppressor and comprehensive monitoring technology such as Lifeguard compressor protection, A.I.M. incident monitor, and extreme ambient alert. Maintains cryogenic temperatures without liquid nitrogen.
REVCO Ultima II cryogenic freezers are designed for long-term storage of biologicals at a uniform temperature of -140°C, safely below the -130°C glass transition temperature of water. Cell viability is improved because biologically relevant, thermally driven reactions are not known to occur. Safer, more convenient than LN2, REVCO cryogenic freezers include the features, control and performance attributes of the Ultima II Series freezers, plus many important advantages not available when using LN2.
