Sagax Instruments Isoscope 125 Ellipsometer Overview
Features:
- Analyze Surface Properties such as Refractive Index or Film Layer Thickness
- Uses White Light, Ultra-Violet and Infra-Red to Study the Physical Properties of a Surface
- Point-to-Point Comparison Between Two Surfaces
The Isoscope 125 offers the physical study of surface properties with respect to differencies in the polarization state of reflected light. Both the test surface and known reference surface are placed between two fixed crossed polarizers. A parallel light beam is subjected to subsequent reflections at both surfaces with the plane of incidence at the reference surface perpendicular to the plane of incidence at the sample surface. Extinction of light is thus achieved for identical surfaces. This method offers a direct point-to-point comparison between the test surface and reference surface. The Isoscope 125 is a fast and convenient ellipsometry instrument and is particularly suitable for routine measurement or production control.
