The CytoFluor 2300/2350 Fluorescence Measurement System quantifies both soluble and cell-associated fluorescence. The fluorescence is measured by a photomultiplier tube in a light-proof detection chamber. The CytoFluor 2300/2350 Fluorescence Measurement System consists of:
• CytoFluor 2300/2350 Scanner
• CytoFluor 2300/2350 Control Software
• IBM-Compatible Personal Computer (PC)
The CytoFluor software, which runs on the PC, controls the action of the X-Y scanner. A precision X-Y mechanism scans a microtiter plate with a sensitive fiber optic probe to quantify the fluorescence in each well. The plate remains stationary, and can be selected from a database of industry standard or user-defined plate formats. The are scan feature enables you to scan individual well areas to create a fluorescence map of that area.
Common plate types from 6 to 96 wells can be used with the CytoFluor 2300/2350 Fluorescence Measurement System. You can also set parameters for a customized area scan.
The CytoFluor 2300 Astroscan Plate Reader may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
