Halma / Mikropack DH-2000 Deuterium-Tungsten Halogen Light Source Overview

The Mikropack DH-2000 Deuterium-Tungsten Halogen Light Source combines the continuous spectrum of deuterium and tungsten halogen light sources in a single optical path. The combined-spectrum light source produces a powerful, stable output from 215-2000nm. In addition, deep-UV versions of the DH-2000 are available, with a 190-2000nm range.
All versions of the DH-2000 have a potentiometer on the back of the light source to adjust the intensity of the tungsten halogen output. This potentiometer allows you to adjust the optical power of the tungsten halogen light from 10-100%.
What is the difference between DH-2000 and DH-2000-BAL?
All deuterium sources have an alpha line, a sharp spectral feature centered at 655 nm. This feature and other deuterium lines produce “unbalanced” output in the deuterium and halogen sources. Simply adjusting the integration time of the spectrometer to suppress the alpha line does not solve the problem as the efficiency of the system at UV wavelengths drops significantly, compromising signal-to-noise performance.
