The Thermo/Cellomics KineticScan HCS Reader is an automated system for analysis of cellular and intracellular spatial parameters, over time, in populations of living cells. It is designed to monitor and analyze multiple cells with sub-cellular resolution. The onboard environmental control system allows control over environmental temperature, CO2, and humidity enabling live cell experiments by maintaining precise physiological conditions throughout the assay time. An integrated liquid handling system allows for compound and reagent delivery with mixing and cell washing in either an eight channel or one channel format. The optical system combines a full spectrum light source with automated filters providing a wide variety of fluorescent reporters, including FRET reagents and dyes for ratio metric imaging. The KineticScan uses Cellomics V2 BioApplications. The V2 BioApplications are a combination of general and targeted image analysis tools for multiplexed HCS Assays.

The Cellomics KineticScan HCS Reader may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
