The Tecan SPECTRAFluor and SPECTRAFluor Plus Microplate Reader operates based on a pulsed excitation light that is provided by a Xenon flash lamp. Dual optical channels allow measurements from above or below the plate by mouse-click. Light to and from the samples is focused by a lens and high quality excitation and emission filters are easily accessible from the front of the instrument. Each filter slide holds up to four filters and values for a total of eight slides that can be stored. The emission signal is measured by a highly sensitive PMT.
The Tecan SPECTRAFluor Plus Microplate Reader may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
