TSI IFA-100 158 Intelligent Flow Analyzer Transducer Master Cabinet

The TSI IFA-100 Series Intelligent Flow Analyzers consist of either a Model 158 or Model 159 cabinet. The Model 158 is the primary, or "master" cabinet and the model 159 is the secondary, or "slave" cabinet. Both of these cabinets can house and provide power to four channels of transducers and signal conditioners. The model 158 master cabinet is used for the first four transducer channels and a model 159 cabinet is used for each additional set of four transducer channels. The master cabinet can control up to 16 channels by means of: (a) its front-panel keyboard (local) or via a computer (remote) through an RS-232-C interface; (b) a 4&frac;12-digit data display with channel number; (c) three warning indicators; and (d) a test signal. The microprocessor sends instructions to the transducer module and signal conditioner module; the microprocessor also monitors such parameters as selected bridge, sensor faults, and the overheat setting of the Model 150 anemometer. Since the model 159 has no internal microprocessor, it must rely on the model 158 for control. A ribbon cable is used via tha back panel to connect the two units.
