The Pickering 40-480 Series PXI Automotive Switch Simulators are designed to simulate the operation of automotive switches. They can be used to test the capability of automotive controllers to cope with dirty contacts or leaking current caused by switch contamination. They allow automotive I/O devices to be tested for correct operation under adverse conditions. The design includes protection circuits that ensure module damage cannot be caused by wiring faults or UUT failures.

The Pickering 40-480-221 PXI Automotive Switch Simulator may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
