Integrating Sphere Labsphere Diffuse-Reflectance 3"

This 3" Integrating Sphere is used, and in excellent condition. We have 2-Port and 3-Port versions available. The inner diameter of the ports are 0.5" (12.7mm), and the outer diameter of the port-flange is 0.75" (19mm). The port-flange extends 0.1" (2.5mm) from the face of the enclosure for a set-screw attachment of interface modules/accessories. There is a small indentation along the rim of the flange to help hold any set-screws in place.

The exterior is a black-anodized aluminum housing (4x4x4.4 in.). It is an extermely solid two-piece construction with machine-rounded corners. The interior is solid spectralon material (not a cheaper barium-sulfate painted surface) cut to accomodate the square housing and have an interior diameter of 3 inches. Spectralon is manufactured by Labsphere and is a diffuse (non-specular) material with high lambertian properties.

This item was used to test optical telecommunication components. Most off-the-shelf integrating spheres have both a spherical interior as well as the exterior. This custom/OEM model has a spherical interior and a square exterior. It is well designed and very sturdy. There is a threaded insert centered on the bottom of the housing for mounting to optical table accessories.
