Kontron / Thales V2PMC-RC-00 PMC Carrier Module -Conformal Coated Overview

The Kontron / Thales V2PMC PMC Carrier Module expands the mother board PCI bus using the P0 connector of the VME backplane to directly couple the carrier to the motherboard. Up to two additional PMC modules can be hosted for each carrier without encumbering any PMC sites resident on the mother board. The two PMC sites on the carrier also have their PMC I/O routed to the VME P2 connector.

Both PMC slots are equipped with the PMC P4 connector for rear I/O capability via the VME P2 in accordance with the VITA-35-2000 standard. V2PMC-RC supports all PMCs complying with VITA-20-199x which defines the mechanical and thermal interface for conduction cooled mezzanine cards. Due to the P0-P0 connection, the V2PMC carrier is mechanically independent of its mother board. This modular design allows the resident PMC modules to be easily maintained in complex deployed systems.

The Thales V2PMC-RC-00 PMC Carrier Module -Conformal Coated may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
