The Pentek 4270 Quad TMS320C40 Processor VME Board / MIX Module incorporates four Texas Instruments TMS320C40s in a standard 6U single-slot VMEbus board with a complete VMEbus slave interface. Its MIX bus master and slave capabilities support a host of real-time DSP and data acquisition applications.
With 4 MBytes of Local SRAM and 4 MBytes of shared Global SRAM, the Model 4270 presents a powerful, yet simple programming model to speed development time and boost real-time operation.
As a standalone VME board, the Model 4270 occupies a single card cage slot. It presents a slave interface to the VMEbus, through which all four 1 MByte Global SRAMs can be accessed. This permits easy movement of programs and data by a VME host processor. The unit can also generate VMEbus interrupts, vital for many real-time applications. As a MIX expansion module, the Model 4270 utilizes the full card cage depth, from the front panel to the backplane, accommodating more circuitry within the module.
