Abaco Systems / Ramix PMC239/F PCI to PMC Adapter with Fan Option Overview
Features:
- 32 and 64-Bit PCI
- Generates the +3.3V Power for the PMC
- Supports Both 5V and 3.3V Signaling
- PCI Edge Connector Style Card to PMC
- 1 Mag Lev Type Fan
- PMC239: Older Ramix Model without the Fan Option
- PMC239/F: Ramix Model with Fan Option or Abaco / GE Model which had Fan by Default
The PMC239 accepts both 3.3V and 5V signaling PMC cards. It can be plugged into both 3.3V and 5V signaling PCI slots. However, if a 3.3V-only signaling PMC is installed on the PMC239, the adapter can not be installed in a 5V-only PCI slot. This also holds true for the converse.
PMC239 adapter card can be used to provide a connection between a host PCI bus and a PMC card. The card also provides an extra connector that is suitable for debugging purpose for the PMC card. The extra connector maps 64 bits of user I/Os to one of the PMC connector (P4). In addition, PMC239 provides a MagLev type fan (5V, 1W) for cooling the PMC card.
The Ramix PMC239/F PCI to PMC Adapter with Fan Option may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
