The Comtel Electronics VME64x Series Backplanes implement innovative and beneficial features. Building on the success of Comtel’s VME SMT Backplanes, the VME64x implements surface mount technology for termination, automatic daisy-chaining and capacitive decoupling. The design enables on-board termination, allowing 21- slots in a 19”-wide form factor, but with the simplicity of single-sided surface mount assembly.

The Comtel Electronics VME64x 7-Slot Backplane may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
