Oxford Applied Research MIG5 Mini Ion Gun Power Supply Overview

The Oxford Applied Research MIG5 Mini Ion Gun is a magnetically confined cold-cathode mini ion source, and can operate using very low gas flow rates. The source is ideal as a low-cost ion gun for cleaning or sputtering applications. It is simple to use and allows instant start-up for routine sample preparation.
The energy of the ions is set by the voltage on the anode, allowing operation in the energy 2-5 keV with variable gas flow. Ion current is a function of both gas flow and anode voltage, allowing a wide range of operating conditions to be adopted. Optionally, the Oxford Applied Research Instruments MIG5 Mini Ion Gun can be supplied with focus and X / Y deflection facilities.
