Newport / Oriel 6035 Spectral Calibration Lamp Overview
Features:
- Insensitive to Temperature
- Average Intensity is Constant and Reproducible after the Thermal Conditions Stabilize
- Used for Calibration of Spectroscopic Instruments such as Monochromators, Spectrographs, and Spectral Radiometers
The Newport / Oriel 6035 Spectral Calibration Lamp produces narrow, intense lines from the excitation of Argon gas and Mercury vapor. The 6035 Hg(Ar) Lamp is insensitive to temperature. It requires a two-minute warm-up for the mercury vapor to dominate the discharge, then 30 minutes for complete stabilization. The average intensity is remarkably constant and reproducible after the thermal conditions stabilize. This lamp operates at 18 to 23 mA. It is used for wavelength calibration of spectroscopic instruments such as monochromators, spectrographs, and spectral radiometers. It is called a pencil lamp because of its size and shape. It is made of double bore quartz tubing with two electrodes at one end sealed into a phenolic handle. Spectral Calibration Lamp produces narrow, intense lines from the excitation of Argon gas and Mercury vapor.
The Oriel 6035 Spectral Calibration Lamp may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

We have some test equipment in our lab from the 1990's that stopped working about 2 years ago. It sat in the corner collecting dust, but we took on a project last month that required more machines. After talking to Artisan, we found out we could get parts to fix our machine for much less than buying a new one!

Fantastic company with great people! We are lucky to have them in Champaign!
- Kamal A.
We found Artisan when our PXI Chassis broke, which shut down our production line. We were up and running in less than a day because they shipped overnight and talked our tech guys through the installation over the phone. ATG saved the day big time!
- Neo Google
Contacted Artisan for hard to find that has been out of circulation for nearly a decade. Their rapid response and availability exceeded all other suppliers. They supplied the part overnight to an out of state facility which allowed us to repair our equipment successfully. Well packed electronics. Well stated and professional documentation. I work with a hundred different suppliers any day of the week in my profession. Artisan remains at the very top of the bookmark tab. Thanks so much.

Don’t worry about damage to your items during shipping – the box ours came in could have taken a beating and would have still survived!
