The Osicom CMC-1156 VME FDDI Module has a 32-Bit Microprocessor, TCP/IP Offload, and Content Addressable Memory (CAM) for high speed address look-up. It has two Quality of Service (QOS) features. "Async" for normal data, and "Sync" for time sensitive data.

The CMC-1156 processes 30,000 packets per second and has a maximum packet size of 4,500 Bytes. It has Dual Attach Station (DAS) for fault tolerant dual, counter rotating rings, and Control for external Optical Bypass Relay (OBR).

The CMC-1156 Osicom VME FDDI Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
