The GET Engineering 10072501 NTDS / PCI Parallel Interface Adapter allows the user to interface parallel NTDS channels with a wide variety of PCI-based systems. The 100% MIL-STD 1397C compliant adapter provides all four parallel protocols, Slow, Fast, ANEW, and High Speed ANEW, through software configuration.
This single half length circuit card resides in one PCI short card slot. High scale integration circuitry, programmable gate arrays, surface mount technology, and custom circuits yield the highest possible MTBF ratings available in a commercial NTDS interface adapter. Full NTDS data rates are supported with a combination of burst and interrupt driven transfers. The PCI adapter stores several software selectable interface operating modes and personalities. The PCI interface adapter is fully software compatible with the GET NTDS family of interface adapters.
The 10072501 has short circuit protection on all outputs, fail-safe input operation, and output tristate capability. Software selectable operations include NTDS Computer, Peripheral, Intercomputer, or Interperipheral channel emulation and NTDS data path format of 16 or 32 bits. It also supports "Plug & Play" with no jumpers or switches. NTDS I/O is provided through rear panel single high density 112-pin connector.
