The Greenlee / Tempo / Industrial Technology FiberFone Fiber Optic Talk Sets are portable field telephones that combine the high quality of fiber optic communication with the durability needed for field operation. FiberFones are used typically by cable technicians during the installation, maintenance and restoration of fiber optic cables to provide site-to-site communication. Using one spare single mode or multimode fiber, technicians can quickly set up a reliable communications link between two different work locations or a conferencing link among several work locations. Lightweight and easy to use yet extremely rugged, the FiberFone passes a drop test, a water spray test and is internally sealed for high humidity operation.
The Industrial Technology FiberFone Fiber Optic Talk Set Kit Model 125 may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
