The Advantech MIC-2000 Modular Industrial Controller is based on open ISA-bus passive backplane technology. Its flexible modular system design makes upgrades and maintenance simple. With superior mechanical reliability and bus extension capabilities, the MIC systems are ideal for use in applications where a harsh or vibration prone environment would prohibit the use of a standard office PC or compatible.

The MIC-2000 systems use passive backplane technology as a replacement for motherboards. This modular technology enables quick and easy CPU and peripheral card replacement with virtually no interruption of operations. Open ISA-bus architecture provides greater flexibility when you find it necessary to choose appropriate PC-compatible products for your specific application requirements. The MIC-2000 is structurally designed to use general PC-compatible products.

The Advantech MIC-2000/8 Modular Industrial Controller may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
