The Stahl / Intrinspak 9000 Series of Safety Barriers are designed to connect intrinsically safe circuits with non-intrinsically safe circuits. With the use of these barriers, electrical energy towards the hazardous area is limited by means of a combination of Zener diodes, resistors, and fuses.

Through the use of snap-on mounting, the safety barrier is mechanically mounted; simultaneously, there is a PE connection established. With this mounting system, there is only one common PE connection needed per DIN rail. This process eliminates wiring as a necessity; however, manual wiring is still an option if the user so chooses.

The Intrinspak 9002/77-093-300-001 Safety Barrier may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
