The Ametek / EG&G / Princeton Applied Research 162 Boxcar Averager Main Frame contains most of the timing and control functions that are needed within a signal recovery system. The Model 162 also contains several control functions, as well as the output signal processing circuitry. The Princeton Applied Research Model 162 Boxcar Averager can be combined with the Model 163 or Model 164 Processor Modules to form a gated signal-recovery system of exceptional versatility and utility. As a whole, the system can synchronously sample the input signal with an aperture that can be fixed at any point on, or slowly spanned across, the input signal.

The Princeton Applied Research 162 Boxcar Averager may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
