The Excalibur Systems EXC-1553PCMCIA/B MIL-STD-1553 Test and Simulation Card is an intelligent, memory-mapped MIL-STD-1553 interface card which complies with the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA Release 2.1) standard, including Plug and Play. The card’s small size and suitability for PCMCIA compatible notebook computers with Type II slots make it a complete solution for developing and testing 1553 interfaces and for performing system simulation of the MIL-STD-1553 bus, both in the lab and in the field.

The EXC-1553PCMCIA/B can be programmed to operate as a Bus Controller, Remote Terminal, and Remote Terminal/Concurrent Monitor. The internal 64K word dual port RAM provides sufficient memory for advanced test and simulation requirements. Card operation may be programmed in real time.

The EXC-1553PCMCIA/B is supplied complete with C driver software library with source code and Merlin application software.
The EXC-1553PCMCIA/B-R-E Excalibur Systems MIL-STD-1553 Test and Simulation Card may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
