The NI 6014 uses the NI data acquisition system timing controller (DAQ-STC) for time-related functions. The DAQ-STC consists of three timing groups that control AI, AO, and general-purpose counter/timer functions. These groups include a total of seven 24-bit and three 16-bit counters and a maximum timing resolution of 50 ns. The DAQ-STC makes possible such applications as buffered pulse generation, equivalent time sampling, and seamless changing of the sampling rate.
National Instruments recommends X Series DAQ and NI-DAQmx driver software for new applications. It quadruples your resolution, increases sampling speed, and improve accuracy with the 16-bit, 250 kS/s NI PCIe-6321.
Because they provide reliable measurements, the NI B Series multifunction DAQ boards are ideal for a wide variety of OEM products or simple applications in laboratory automation, research, design verification/test, and manufacturing test. The NI PCI-6014 sustains analog output and digital and counter/timer I/O operations together with analog input operations. Using NI hardware, you have flexible OS, application development environment, and application software choices.
