The Carlo Gavazzi 585 Series CompactPCI / VME / VME64 Portable Enclosures are highly serviceable and maintainable. The 9U high 585 Series features a flush card cage accommodating either five or eight 6U x 160mm CompactPCI / VME / VME64 boards housed in a vertical orientation. The rightmost slot is double-wide and reserved as the system (CPU) slot. The backplanes support H.110, the IPMB as specified in PICMG 2.9 rev. 1.0, 5.0 or 3.3-volt keying and Hot Swap. As well, 1101.11 compliant 80mm transition I/O cards are supported. One 5.25" x 1.63" device is available on a doublewide carrier card, and two 3.5" x 1.0" devices (one accessible) are available on a single-wide carrier card.

The chassis is powered for a five-output, 320-Watt auto select 90-264 VAC. The cooling subsystem consists of two high reliability 50CFM (5-slot chassis) or 90CFM (8-slot chassis), DC ball-bearing fans and a 35 CFM power supply exhaust fan. Lower front air intake, top exhaust.

The Carlo Gavazzi's 585 Series Portable Enclosures are designed to meet the needs of embedded, telecommunications, development, testing, military and measurement applications.

The Carlo Gavazzi 585B4RX68FT-001 cPCI Portable Enclosure may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
