PCCtest 270 SyCard Technology PCMCIA Socket Tester

The SyCard Technology PCCtest 270/370 Series PCMCIA Socket Testers provide a quick and accurate way to verify the functionality of a 16-Bit PC Card host socket. Housed in a Type II PC Card, the PCCtest unit is fully self contained. It can verify all data, address and control signals on a PCMCIA Release 2.1 or PC Card ’95 compliant interface. The PCCtest 270/370 models support Direct Memory Access (DMA), mixed voltage operation and the voltage sense pins defined in the February 1995 release of the PC card Specification.

The PCCtest’s on-board microcontroller provides test stimulus and controls an integrated A/D converter to measure the socket’s supply voltages. A digital audio test provides a standard 1KHz tone to test the audio output function. DMA read or write transactions are initiated by the PCCtest card. All three DMA routings are supported.

PCCtest includes software designed to run on a variety of host socket controllers. The test software supports the Intel 82365SL, Vadem VG-468, Cirrus Logic CLPD6710/20/22, Ricoh, Omega Micro and Databook socket controllers. The PCCtest series is useful in a production test environment as well as the engineering lab.
