AMS-980 Wandel & Goltermann ATE Functional Test System

The Averna / Mindready / Wandel & Goltermann ATE AMS 980 Functional Test System is an ultra fast, highly parallel, functional test system built upon a powerful ATE platform that addresses the requirements of design verification (DV), process verification (PV), production functional and system level test, repair and quality assurance. The AMS-980 includes test for POTS, Analog, Digital, ADSL and xDSL line cards, DSLAMS, Digital Loop Carriers, PABX Systems, Pair Gain Systems, analog and digital telephone sets and other wireline and wireless access products. Available test libraries are compliant to such international standards as ITU, Bellcore, ANSI, and IEEE.

Averna / Mindready / Wandel & Goltermann ATE test executive environment supports the PC-based Microsoft Windows XP platform. The platform offers clients fast, accurate performance incorporating either asynchronous or parallel testing of multiple UUTs. The user friendly interface is fully menu driven for system operation and test development. The Test Executive Manager (NI TestStand) allows adding new instrument drivers as test requirements change, as well as building user-defined test libraries. Users may also incorporate their choice of data collection or result handlers. Mindready solutions offers a broad range of test libraries which contain in depth test coverage for voice frequency, audio, PCM, PABXs, signaling, BERT, xDSL, T1, E1, proprietary bus emulations, Channel Bank interfaces, TL1, DSLAMS, and ATM.

Averna / Mindready / Wandel & Goltermann ATE VXI based access test modules, at the core of the AMS 980, are specifically designed for ultra fast and accurate communications testing. In addition, third party instruments various OEM vendors (such Agilent, NI) based on VXI or PXI architectures, allow for easy upgrades and reconfigurations as needs and test requirements change.
