The Kunbus DF Profi II PCI PROFIBUS DP/DPV1 Interface Board is suitable for a wide variety of uses. Due to the fact that both 5 V and 3.3 V are supported, the board is compliant to fast server PCs as well as workstations.
The DF PROFI II cPCI operates as DP Master or DP Slave. Additionally to the standard PROFIBUS DP/DPV1 services the board provides a watchdog function with physical PROFIBUS line disconnection for Master class 1 redundancy concepts. If the operational PC system fails, a seamless switch over to a redundant standby system is possible.
The process data image additionally provides a millisecond based relative time stamp value. The PROFIBUS configuration data is stored in a failsafe Flash Type Memory.
CONFIGURATOR III is an option for the compilation and download of the PROFIBUS configuration. The comfortable and full graphical tool minimizes the configuration effort. Extensive download, analysis and control functions permit an efficient check up of the configured PROFIBUS DP network. The compiled configuration is stored in XML format. This allows an easy integration into third party applications.
