The Philips PM2521 Digital Multimeter uses a microcomputer, an 8035 with a 4k external ROM. Thanks to the microcomputer, extra measuring functions are incorporated, in addition to the standard multimeter measuring functions. These extra measuring functions make it possible to measure the standard multimeter measuring signals in the other units.

The Philips PM2521/233 Digital Multimeter may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
