Annapolis WILDSTAR-II FPGA Processing Module Overview

  • Multi-Thread Safe Software Support
  • Status LEDs for PEs
  • Supports (2) I/O Cards
The Annapolis WILDSTAR-II Series FPGA Processing Modules architecture has a number of processing configuration options with the full architecture containing three processing modules. Each PE has two differential 166-pin I/O buses connected for PE-to-PE communication.

The remaining 160-pin I/O (152 pins if using CoreFire) provides an extensive bus to I/O cards 0 and 1 from PEs 0 and 1, respectively, while the PE2 I/O bus communicates to the backplane I/O connectors P2 and P0. PEs are pin- and bit file-compatible with each other. The WILDSTAR-II /VME is also equipped for power monitoring and thermal management.

The Annapolis WILDSTAR-II FPGA Processing Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
