The Anritsu / Wiltron 560A Scalar Network Analyzer makes automated, simultaneous measurement of transmission loss/gain and return loss or power over the 10 MHz to 40 GHz range. in its simple configuration, an automated system consists of a 560A, a a Series SWR Autotester and Detector, a 660B Series Generator, and a GPIB desktop controller.

Scalar detection device operating from 10 MHz to 18 GHz frequency range for measuring RF and microwave signal power levels. Interfaces through GPC-7 precision coaxial connector standard providing repeatable measurements with low VSWR. Converts incident RF power to proportional DC voltage output for connection to scalar network analyzers or power meters. Features square-law detection characteristics for accurate power measurements across dynamic range. Commonly used in automated test systems for characterizing amplifiers, filters, and transmission line components. Provides temperature-compensated response for stable measurements in laboratory and production environments.
