The Drivven D000030 Low-Side Driver Module Kit is a CompactRIO-compatible output driver module designed for controlling automotive relays, solenoid valves, actuators, and other low-side switched loads. The module provides eight independently controlled PWM output channels and is intended for engine development, automotive research, test cell applications, powertrain control systems, and embedded control projects using National Instruments FPGA platforms.
The D000030 integrates directly with National Instruments CompactRIO and PXI FPGA systems and was developed to provide high-speed pulse-width-modulated control of automotive loads. The module supports configurable PWM operation from 0% to 100% duty cycle, fault monitoring, short-circuit protection, open-circuit detection, and dedicated control software for LabVIEW FPGA environments.
The module is suitable for operation of EGR valves, turbo wastegate actuators, fuel pressure regulators, relays, and other solenoid-operated devices. Channels 5 through 8 include peak-current control capability for low-impedance actuators.
The National Instruments D000030 Eight Channel Low-Side Driver Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Eight independent low-side switch drivers sinking load current to ground under digital control. Each channel switches a load such as relays or transistors, with logic-level inputs and fast switching performance. Includes protection features such as overcurrent and undervoltage lockout and diagnostic signaling for channel status. Designed for modular integration with external terminal blocks and backplane interfaces; ships without a terminal block.
