The Rockwell/1771-DMC Control Coprocessor Module expands the capability of a programmable controller system. This is achieved by running C, BASIC, and assembler programs. These programs perform tasks such as: manipulating and analyzing input, output, and other information gathered from the controller; and communicating with devices external to the controller system via the Ethernet or asynchronous serial communication port(s).
The 1771-DMC control coprocessor can be used for the following applications:
