The Rockwell/1785-K Series Data Highway Communication Modules are a chassis-based, modular family that offers you flexibility in programming, networking, I/O and choice of controllers to match your exact requirements. There are 2 modules in this Series including the 1785-KA and the 1785-KE.

The 1785-KA module is a communication adapter that connects a Data Highway Plus network (including PLC-5 controllers) to nodes on an Data Highway. This module's hardware features include: diagnostic indicators; and connectors for the Data Highway/Data Highway Plus/T50 Industrial Terminal.

The 1785-KE module is a communication interface that links an intelligent RS-232-C (asynchronous) device to an Data HIghway Plus network. This module gives a choice of full duplex (unpolled) or half duplex (polled) protocol on is asynchronous link. The 1785-KE module's hardware features include: diagnostic indicators; and connectors for Data Highway Plus/T50 Industrial Terminal/RS-232-C device.
The 1785-KA Rockwell Communication Adapter Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
