The EADS / Rascal 6056 Signal Conditioner Module (SCM) is a microprocessor-controlled instrument which consists of three functional blocks. The first block consists of two identical Level Threshold Detectors (LTD) which convert analog signals into digital format. The second block consists of two identical Time Constant Filters (TCF) designed to filter analog signals. The third block consists of a window generator which outputs logically combined outputs of the two LTDs.

The 6056 is designed to be used under the direction of the Slot 0 System Resource Manager of a VXIbus compatible mainframe. The 6056 can only be controlled remotely over the VXIbus. No local control of the instrument is possible.
The EADS 6056 Signal Conditioner Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
