Keysight 's Service Advisor Toolkit is the industry's most comprehensive modular platform for copper, fiber loop and advanced services testing. From basic line qualification for DSL installations to OC-48c/STM-16 fiber testing, the Toolkit provides a complete range of dual standard modules and easy-to-use, graphical software measurement and troubleshooting applications for technicians in the field, the central office and the lab.
The module bays in this product accept either a single dual-size test module, or two single-size modules (a test module and a line interface module). The PCMCIA card slot accepts PCMCIA cards, such as the LAN or modem NICs and flash-ROM cards. The user can use a LAN or modem NIC to control the tablet from a remote PC. A flash-ROM card enables the user to load and store programs and data.
The N1690A Datacom test module (options 010 and 011) provide RS-232 async up to 115.2 kbps, RS-232 sync testing up to 128 kbps and RS-449, V.35, X.21, EIA-530 sync testing up to 10 Mbps. For complete flexibility the N1690A operates in DTE, DCE or monitor modes. Separately available interface cables have both male and female connectors for universal connection. An optional HSSI testing interface (option 011) is available for troubleshooting today’s newest high capacity data networks up to 52Mbps. The separate DCE and DTE ports enable the test set to emulate a DCE or DTE to verify a high speed network element or passively MONITOR a high speed circuit.
