Danaher Motion / IDC SmartStep Series is a complete, packaged microstepping drive/control that provides a user friendly system, as well as many compelling features and benefits. Consider a SmartStep when your application requires a high throughput, ease of integration, and small panel space. The SmartStep has the same outstanding dynamic performance as the NextStep microstepping drive which incorporates the latest in Anti-Resonance technology to maximize the torque, and optimize the performance of step motors.

The SmartStep uses IDC's IDeal programming language, and Application Developer software package which simplifies system setup and integration. The unit has an internal heatsink and fan which keeps the panel space required for each unit small, and allows multiple units to be stacked together in multi-axis applications. Smoother performance across the entire motion profile. The system also allows up to 8 amps of motor current and is compatible with both standard and enhanced 17 frame to 42 frame step motors.

The Danaher Motion 7-Position Terminal Block for SmartStep-23 may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Seven-position insulation-displacement terminal block for field wiring to a servo drive interface, providing independent electrical terminations for control, feedback, and power signals. Enables secure, quick-connect connections to drive circuitry, with rugged insulation and panel-mount retention for vibration environments. Organizes and routes input/output lines, preserves signal integrity, and provides discrete terminals for typical drive I/O such as step, direction, enable, encoder channels, and supply and return lines.
