The Drivven D000014 Engine Synchronous TTL (ESTTL) Output Module Kit is a CompactRIO-compatible output module designed to generate high-resolution engine-synchronous TTL control signals for engine development, ECU prototyping, dynamometer testing, powertrain research, motorsports, and FPGA-based control systems. The module provides eight independently controlled TTL outputs that can be driven directly by user-defined logic or by Drivven's fuel and spark control libraries for engine-synchronous operation.
The ESTTL module was developed for applications where precise timing signals are required but where the load is driven by external electronics rather than by onboard high-current injector or ignition drivers. Typical applications include smart actuators, external ignition systems, custom driver electronics, fuel system development, spark timing studies, and synchronization of external equipment with engine position. Multiple engine-synchronous pulse generators can be combined to create advanced multi-pulse control strategies.
The module integrates directly with National Instruments CompactRIO and PXI FPGA platforms and is supported through Drivven LabVIEW FPGA and Real-Time software libraries. The platform supports timing resolution down to 200 nanoseconds and can generate synchronized fuel-command, spark-command, and general-purpose timing signals based on crankshaft position tracking.
The National Instruments D000014 Engine Synchronous TTL Output Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
