The Abaco Systems / SBS / Greenspring ATC30 IndustryPack Carrier Board for AT Bus holds three IndustryPack modules in a single ISA (PC/AT platform) slot. The ATC30 is typically installed in a 386, 486 or Intel Pentium Processor based system, although some workstations use ISA as an I/O bus. The ATC30 is similar to the ATC40 with the exception of one less IndustryPack. This allows the form factor to reduce to a short AT card so it can be installed in most typical industrial AT chasis. The ATC30 permits slave and interrupt access from the host processor to the IndustryPacks. The ATC30 typically resides in the ISA address space above one megabyte. This requires the use of a DOS extender (such as Phar Lap) if running DOS. Advanced operating systems such as Windows, OS/2, SCO Unix, and OS-9000 can directly address high memory. The ATC30 may be set to occupy 16 Kbytes below one megabyte for DOS compatibility without an extender. Both byte and 16-bit word accesses are supported.
The Abaco Systems ATC30 IndustryPack Carrier Board for AT Bus may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
