The Hetronik HC500 Series Heater Controllers are multi-channel power controllers used to setup the heat level of resistive heating elements
(infrared heaters and lamps, cartridge heaters, ...) while switching full sinusoid waves of the ac power
voltage.
The Hetronik HC500 system consists of one CPU-unit (CU) , one or more output-cards (OC) in one or more fan cooled racks (RK) and eventually one or more empty slot covers (SC) for unused slots in the racks (RK). The system can also consist of one or more output-module-masters (OMM) with output-modules (OM), one or more output-units (OU) with optional output-unit-ampmeter (OUI), optionally one voltage-unit (VU), and optionally one ore more temperature-units (TU).
Data exchange between the master and the HC500 is handled via PROFINET, PROFIBUS-DP,
EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or a serial interface (RS232 or RS485) and the HC specific ASCI protocols HCCOM or HC-NET.
