The Curtiss-Wright / DY4 CHAMP-AV II / SVME-412 Quad PowerPC DSP introduces
the QuadFlow high bandwidth architecture for
radar, sonar, and signal intelligence applications.
The board combines the performance of four
500MHz 7410 processors, with a non-blocking PCI
crossbar architecture allowing up to 2 Gbytes/sec
on-card data transfers. Each processor is provided
with a dedicated bank of SDRAM, and two 528
Mbyte/sec (peak) connections to the other
processor nodes. The CHAMP-AV II is particularly
well suited to large multi-slot systems with support
for Curtiss-Wright / DY4's StarLink switch fabric board interconnect
PMC, based on StarFabric technology. When
combined with StarLink, the CHAMP-AV II has
industry leading card to card bandwidth. The
CHAMP-AV II has many features dedicated to
achieving high multi-processor application
performance, while simplifying the associated
software effort.
