The IXI Technology EAGLE Series NTDS Boards are 32-bit full-duplex interfaces between MIL-STD-1397C Type A, B, C, or H parallel I/O channels and the PC (ISA) bus. EAGLE boards occupy a single ISA slot making it easy to install multiple boards in a system. They can also be used on EISA systems such as the U.S. Navy's TAC-3/4.
A uniform programming interface provides software compatibility across the entire EAGLE family of NTDS boards. MS DOS and Windows NT device drivers make it easy to program. Each board is also supplied with comprehensive diagnostic software, detailed documentation, and programming examples written in C to simplify development and save time. EAGLE boards are versatile and allow you to optimize their performance by operating in DMA, polled, or interrupt modes. EAGLE boards also feature short-circuit protected NTDS drivers which prevent failures if cables are connected incorrectly.
EAGLE boards can be installed in desktop, portable, or rugged PC systems to meet a wide variety of demanding requirements in the lab or aboard ship such as testing, emulation, training, simulation, data collection, or tactical operations. Wherever the need exists to interface to NTDS equipment, the EAGLE is the ideal COTS choice for building powerful yet affordable NTDS systems.
The EAGLE FS IXI Technology NTDS Board may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
