RSC 6X Barco Radar Scan Converter

The Barco / Metheus 6000 Series High Resolution X-Window Display Subsystem features software selectable resolution up to 1600 x 1280 and 1920 x 1080, multiple overlay and underlays (up to 32 bit planes), optional radar scan conversion, and optional dual, live TV video.

The 6000 Family consists of 2 Series of products, the 6600 Series and the 6700 Series. The 6000 Family products are VFB67 6700 Series Video Frame Buffers, VFB66 6600 Series Video Frame Buffer, GXA6X 6000 Family Graphics Accelerator, RSC6X 6000 Family Radar Scan Converter, RSW6X 6000 Family Radar Switchboard, and MPVI 6600 Series Memory, Planes, Video Input Feature Card.

The 6600 Series is a family of 6U VME boards, designed to be used with VME Single Board Computers or with standard workstations via a range of host adapters. The product is manufactured in board-only form, for system integrators, or as a complete VME chassis.

The 6600 Series products are designed particularly for C3I, antisubmarine warfare, simulation, and other applications which require high resolution graphics with the addition of Live Radar and/or TV Video, whilst retaining X Window compatibility. Radar and/or Video information is displayed under full X Window control, with multiple overlays allowing unparalleled flexibility.

In a C4I application for example, track data may be shown over the top of raw radar data, in turn over the top of map information. The multiple overlays allow the different layers to be updated asynchronously, with the full choice of colors available in each layer, yet within the X-Window standard.

The 6600 is a COTS product, and is also manufactured in rugged versions for Military Command and Control applications on land, sea and air.

The Metheus 6700 Series is an ultra high resolution X-Window display subsystem. Key features of the 6700 are up to 2048x2048 resolution, optional graphics overlay and optional high performance accelerator.

The 6700 Series is a family of 6U VME boards, designed to be used with VME Single Board Computers or with standard workstations via a range of host adapters. The product is available in board-only form, for system integrators, or as a complete VME chassis.

The 6700 Series products are designed particularly for air traffic control, antisubmarine warfare, simulation, medical imaging, and other applications which require particularly high resolution graphics, whilst retaining X Window compatibility. The 6700 offers increased performance over the 5700 in certain specialized applications, without the option of Radar or TV Video.

The 6700 is a COTS product, and is also manufactured in rugged versions for military applications on land, sea and air.
