The Endress+Hauser Proline Prowirl F 200 Series is a family of industrial vortex flowmeters designed for flow measurement of liquids, gases, saturated steam, superheated steam, and energy applications. Using the Karman vortex shedding principle, the Prowirl F 200 converts vortex frequency into a highly stable flow measurement that is inherently free from long-term calibration drift and zero-point drift. The measuring principle complies with ISO 12764 and is widely used throughout process industries where reliable, maintenance-free flow measurement is required.

The Prowirl F 200 platform is available in volume flow, mass flow, integrated temperature measurement, and integrated pressure/temperature compensated configurations. Depending on the selected version, the instrument can calculate volume flow, corrected volume flow, mass flow, energy flow, heat flow difference, steam quality, condensate flow, specific volume, degrees of superheat, and other process variables directly within the flowmeter.

The series is particularly well known for steam applications. Optional integrated pressure and temperature measurement allow accurate density and energy compensation directly at the flowmeter without requiring separate transmitters. Additional application packages support wet steam detection, wet steam measurement, and Endress+Hauser Heartbeat Technology diagnostics and verification.

Inline vortex flowmeter measuring gas or liquid flow by detecting downstream vortex shedding from a bluff body and converting the shed frequency to flow rate with integrated processing and compensation; transmitter provides dual 4-20 mA outputs (HART capable) and analog output, displays readings on a 4-line illuminated display, and uses field-ready housing with NPT connections and ASME B16.5 seals; DSC 316L sensor with graphite seals for mass gas/liquid service; measures process pressure and temperature from -40 to 100 C; pressure cell rated to 2 bar abs; calibrated to 0.75% volume with 3-point calibration.
