Functions

An electronically controlled, magnetically tuned RF preselector module. Incorporates a 6-stage Yttrium Iron Garnet (YIG) bandpass filter to provide high-selectivity, frequency-agile signal conditioning. The passband center frequency is tuned via an analog control current supplied through a 4-pin interface. This assembly is designed for integration into RF and microwave instruments, such as spectrum analyzers or receivers, to reject image frequencies and other out-of-band spurious signals prior to downconversion or analysis.
