This unit is designed to work with an external vacuum pump. The thermal unit does not lower, but it does raise and pump. Before installing and operating this unit, the coolant lines will need to be completely flushed. In order for unit to operate correctly through the full temperature range, 3M Novec HFE7500 Engineered Fluid needs to be installed. This unit comes with a quick-connect air hose. Also, the unit will come in a custom wooden crate.
The environmental chamber has an application specific thermal unit installed. The thermal unit or tool is the part that makes contact with the Device Under Test, and applies the change in temperature. The tool may need to be changed according to the specific test being performed.
