More Information

BOC Edwards XDS5C Scroll Vacuum Pump Overview

Features:

  • Dry, Hermetically Sealed
  • Wet, Chemical Application
  • Heavy Duty Construction
The Boc Edwards XDS5C Scroll Vacuum Pump features an innovative design which use a bearing shield to isolate the vacuum environment from all forms of lubricant, not only making it totally dry, but hermetically sealed. The shield also protects the bearing from any process vapors. The XDS pumps are designed for pumping condensable vapors and use materials selected for a wide range of laboratory wet chemistry applications.

The XDS-C range are designed for pumping condensable vapors and use materials selected for a wide range of laboratory wet chemistry applications.

Scroll pumps use intermeshing fixed and orbital scrolls to form non-contacting, crescent shaped gas pockets that are continuously compressed by the orbiting action. This means that, unlike oil-sealed rotary pumps, there is no sealant or lubricant required in the swept volume of the pump.

The BOC Edwards XDS5C Scroll Vacuum Pump may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
