The Snaggletooth board brings the high performance multiprocessing power of the Analog Devices ADSP-2106x SHARC DSP processor to the ISA bus platform. The full-length and full-height IBM/PC-AT format board is outfitted with two SHARC processors, up to 512K words x 48 bits of zero-wait-state SRAM, a SHARCPAC expansion site, and a BITSI I/O mezzanine site.

The two on-board SHARC processors share a common processor bus, giving both of them access to the optional bank of SRAM, I/O devices on a BITSI mezzanine, and the internal SRAM of the other SHARC. The processors can also communicate via two bi-directional link ports and a serial port.

The SHARCPAC expansion site accommodates processor and/or memory expansion mezzanines and can be configured to share the main board's SHARC processor bus or operate as a separate cluster. The SHARCPAC site will allow you to easily reconfigure the Snaggletooth to match your multiprocessing and memory requirements. Communication paths to the SHARCPAC interface include eight bi-directional link ports and four serial ports. Two of the link ports and two of the serial ports connect directly to the BITSI site.
