Westermo MD-62 ST 820nm RS-232 Point-to-Point Fiber Optic Converter Overview

The Westermo MD-62 RS-232 Point-to-Point Fiber Optic Converter is used for point-to-point applications between equipment with an RS-232 interface. As the fiber is completely insensitive to external interference, it is the perfect solution for applications in environments exposed to high levels of interference.
The MD-62 supports data rates up to 115.2 kbit/s and ranges up to 25 km (15.53 mi) with single-mode cable. MD-62 can also be used with an MD-63 unit to provide conversion from RS-232 to RS-422/485 over the fiber.
