  • 128K On-Board Packet Buffer
  • Board and Ring Connect Status LEDs
The Interphase 4811 EISA FDDI Adapter enables Hewlett-Packard 9000 Series 700 EISA systems to attach to an FDDI network with mission-critical confidence. Featuring a single-slot, performance based architecture, the 4811 delivers network throughput at near the theoretical limit of FDDI. The 4811 supports bus master DMA transfer rates up to 33MByte/s in burst mode, utilizing a custom Interface ASIC designed to maximize throughput. The 4811 also comes standard with 128K SRAM of local buffer to ensure data integrity during heavy bus traffic in high latency configurations.

The Interphase HO4811-007 Rev. B02 EISA Card may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
